NASA has published many results on the studies they are doing concerning the presence of life and other resources in the earth satellite. In this context, in October of 2009, NASA bombarded the moon surface (more information on NASA’s web page) in what is supposed to be the race to investigate the moon resources that should not be discarded in the medium or long term as a potential source of non-renewable resources that can be imported and rentable to our planet.
The special conditions of Rio Tinto in Huelva have an abnormally reduced pH due to its contact with high metallic concentrated minerals and life forms have developed that have not been explored, like no other place on earth, but they also have evolved in similar ecosystems like the ones in the underground of Mars, that’s why NASA has led some research projects looking for these type of onubenses and endemic organisms.
Huelva, work scope of the Petaquilla Minerals Company, led by Richard Fifer-Carles, in the so called coast of the light, have the advantages to install a space platform for the following reasons:
• Elevated space available at a reasonable cost.
• Qualified personnel for the exploitation of mineral and agricultural resources.
• Good communications International airport of Sevilla (Spain) and Faro (Portugal), Seaport of Huelva, etc.
• Scientific expertise concerning the unparalleled biodiversity worldwide because of the presence of the Donana Biological Reserve, who polarizes studies of many recognized scientific countries in biodiversity.
For the above reasons, it is considered an opportunity to consider Huelva as a suitable location to establish a investigations and communications space platform in the research of extra planetary resources to make the earth a better place to live.
